Continuing Hope Counseling “CHC” is a mental health group practice located in downtown Fairbanks that provides counseling and psychological assessment services to interior and remote Alaska communities. We currently have openings for a Billing Specialist, Receptionist, and Licensed Mental Health Clinician.
Billing Specialist
Key responsibilities of a Billing Specialist include managing accounts receivable, ensuring billing accuracy, and maintain client records.
Responsibilities:
- Submit and track payments- monitoring outstanding payments, send appointment reminders, and post payments to accounts.
- Resolving discrepancies- working with clients and/or private insurance to resolve balance discrepancies.
- Generate and distribute invoices- create and send accurate monthly invoices to clients.
- Review contracts- ensuring billing is accurate and consistent with client agreements.
- Provider credentialing-ensure accuracy and submission of new provider credentialing and re-credentialing as needed.
- Client assistance- answer billing-rated questions, address issues, provide client and provider support on billing matters, and verify client insurance benefits.
Requirements and Skills:
The ideal applicant holds a high school diploma or equivalent work experience, strong organization skills, attention to details, good interpersonal/communication skills, and strong knowledge or willingness to learn computer-based systems such as Microsoft Word and Excel, and medical electronic health record systems.
Specific training, knowledge, or experience medical billing/code is strongly preferred. This position may be offered for full-time, part-time, or as a remote/hybrid position with salary based on experience and determined work schedule.
Receptionist
Key responsibilities of a Receptionist include greeting clients, answering phones, directing inquiries, filing documents, and maintaining client records.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Service- greet clients, provide clients assistance and/or direction, and address questions politely and efficiency
- Communication- handle business inquiries and provide direction when answering phone calls, emails, and faxes.
- Record keeping- update and maintain new client waitlist, oversee completion of necessary paperwork including but not limited to new client packets, releases of information, records requests, and client invoices.
- Scheduling- populating monthly provider schedules, sending appointment reminders, assisting clients with changes or cancelling of appointments.
- Administrative support- handling incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries, preform clerical tasks such as filing, coping, faxing, and uploading of records.
- Office Maintenance- maintain reception, lobby, and common clinic areas, mange office supplies, and ensure environment is overall welcoming, clean, and organized.
Requirements and Skills:
The ideal applicant is friendly, outgoing, and professional who holds a high school diploma or equivalent work experience, strong organization skills, attention to details, good interpersonal/communication skills, and strong knowledge or willingness to learn computer-based systems such as Microsoft Word and Excel, and medical electronic health record systems.
Experience working with HIPPA protected information is strongly preferred. This position may be offered for full-time or part-time with salary based on experience and determined work schedule. Continuing Hope Counseling business hours are Monday-Thursday 8am-6pm and Friday 8am-12pm. CHC is a family friendly workplace that offers flexible schedule options and time away from work policy.
Licensed Mental Health Provider
Continuing Hope Counseling, LLC is looking for a new provider to join us in providing comprehensive counseling and psychological evaluation services to the Interior Alaska community.
With a group practice structure, Continuing Hope Counseling offers all the benefits of private practice within a collaborative environment. CHC providers have individual office spaces at our private building conveniently located in the center of the community. Clinicians have full autonomy to set their own workdays and hours. Full-time administration and reception staff is available on weekdays and in-house billing services is provided with an excellent return on reimbursements. Clinicians have access to an efficient electronic records database, established telehealth platforms, group consultation/supervision, a family friendly work environment, and a network of established community contracts and patient referral channels.
